Blurry details, deep shadows, or crowded scenes can make the outlines harder to read. AI can also change small details or facial features, so check the preview.

Can I turn a photo into a coloring page for free?

Yes, you can use the monthly credits included with a free account. Sign in and check your balance and the cost per page in the generator before submitting. These credits are shared across JoyBook tools. Each generation creates one page and uses credits, including retries in a different style; failed generations return their credits.

Which photo formats can I upload?

You can upload a JPG, PNG, or WebP image up to 10 MB. The converter works with one photo at a time.

Can I make simple coloring pages for kids or detailed ones for adults?

Choose Minimalist for bold outlines and larger spaces, or Intricate for finer lines and decorative patterns. You can also request fewer small details in the optional instructions. Preview the page to decide whether the level of detail suits the person who will color it.

Can I download my coloring page as a PDF to print?

JoyBook currently downloads your coloring page as an image, rather than exporting a PDF directly. Open the downloaded image in your image viewer, choose A4, Letter, or your preferred paper size, and use fit-to-page. If your device offers Save as PDF in its print dialog, you can use that option. Page shapes in JoyBook set image proportions, not fixed paper sizes.

Can I simplify or remove the background of my picture?

You can ask for a plain or simpler background in the optional instructions. For example, ask to keep the child and toy while removing the furniture behind them. This guides the AI during generation; it is not a separate background-removal switch, and results vary by photo. Check the preview before downloading.

Can I try a different coloring style with the same photo?

Yes. Keep your photo selected, choose another style, and generate again. All six styles have the same cost per page, and each new generation uses credits. Open History to compare recent versions and download the one you prefer.
